Harvard Publishes Second Case Study on TraumaLink
The Case Based Learning Institute at Harvard published a second case study on TraumaLink in August 2025. Replacing the prior case study, it was used to introduce all of the incoming students at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health to case-based learning at this year’s orientation. The teaching case provides an update since the first case was published in 2018, addressing the ways we have overcome various challenges and continued to expand the program in Bangladesh. It also provides background on how we built a broad coalition, including the crucial partnerships with the Ministry of Health and WHO, to create an official government post-crash response program we have been growing since 2022.
Peer Reviewed Journal Article in BMJ - Public Health
In November 2025 we published an update on TraumaLink’s key performance indicators after ten years of operations, showing that it continues to be an effective, locally appropriate, and scalable model for providing post-crash care on the national highways of Bangladesh. We also provide an overview of the evolution of this grass roots initiative into an official government post-crash response program, providing a model that other countries could adopt.
